Who speaks to American Indians, Alaska Natives and First Nations people in prison? Who provides training programs and study resources so individuals may have a change of heart while still inside? Who provides culture-specific programs in prison, in treatment centers outside, in halfway houses, in pre- release centers and in the community? And who needs your support with gifts and donations so that this hope-filled work may continue?

The answer to all these questions is:

Wellbriety for Prisons, Inc.

Since 2003, Blaine (Woody) Wood, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, has brought the Medicine Wheel and the 12 Steps addictions recovery program into federal, state and private prisons throughout the U.S. Now, he also facilitates the community-based Warrior Down anti-recidivism program in a growing number of locations. But in these economically stressed times, these life saving resources may falter for lack of funding unless we receive help from individuals and from organizations that care.

Won’t you help? Your gift of cash and other items of value can make a life-changing difference for someone’s father, son, mother, daughter, auntie, uncle, cousin, neighbor or friend. Your gift will help bring incarceration and recidivism numbers down. Your gift will help unite parents and family members with their children.
